Biography
His Excellency Ambassador. Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani is an Emirati businessman, humanitarian, social community activist, and author. He serves as the Roving Ambassador for the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) for the GCC, a platform for political dialogue and Parliamentary Cooperation in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Regions. He was granted this position due to his exceptional efforts in establishing effective cooperation and constructive dialogue between PAM and countries in the Gulf.
He is also the Chairman of the Centre for Global Studies – CGS, an international non–profit initiative of the UAE Ministry of Possibilities that inspires global communications through sustainable development. This initiative has a primary purpose of benefiting the international community by promoting international cooperation in the area of security, parliamentary diplomacy, socio-economic sustainable development, energy-water-food security, and economic integration.
Additionally, he serves as the Chairman of Waterfalls Global as well as the Waterfalls Global Award for Healthcare Sectors, where he spearheaded the formation of the Waterfalls Initiative for Continuous Education from UAE to the World and various international platforms for continuous medical training and education in the medical, health, and humanitarian fields. These initiatives were supported and under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates, and were announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and with the supervision of H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and conducted by the Behavioral Rewards Department at the Ministry of Possibilities in the UAE, in collaboration with INDEX Holding.
He is also the Chairman of the International Congress for Health Specialties (ICHS), which was established in the United Kingdom and is dedicated to advancing continuing medical education, continuing professional development, research, innovation, and excellence in healthcare for the benefit of humanity.
In addition to these responsibilities, H.E. Amb. Dr. AlMadani serves as the Chairman of Abdulsalam AlMadani Global Education Centre (AGEC), a leading international education centre set to be launched in Murcia, Spain. AGEC aims to provide ongoing education, research, and development in various sectors globally, including Dentistry, Dermatology, and more.
Besides the above, Amb. Dr. AlMadani holds a distinguished position as an Honorary Member of the International Hospital Federation – IHF, promoting advancing modern healthcare and hospital management globally. Moreover, he is the Chairman of the Anti-Smoking International Alliance, a non-governmental organization, financed by voluntary contribution and registered in the United Kingdom as a charity, which is devoted to promoting a smoke-free environment worldwide.
H.E. Amb. Dr. AlMadani is a dedicated Board Member of the Dubai Future Council for Humanitarian Aid, an initiative by the Government of Dubai focusing on understanding the future of humanitarian services and reformulating the roles of aid, civil society, and charities for resilient and sustainable global communities. Moreover, he holds the position of Vice Chairman on the Board of Directors at the Emirates Association for Management Consultants and Trainers (EMCT) and a Board Member at the Arab Academy of Dermatology and Aesthetics.
In addition to these significant roles, he actively participates in several Dubai government committees. These include the Joint Commission Committee of the Department of Health and Medical Services, the Exhibition Organizers Committee at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Dubai Council for Marine and Maritime Industries, and many more. Beyond his impactful contributions to healthcare, Amb. Dr. AlMadani has a pivotal role in the humanitarian arena. As Chairman of DIHAD, an annual event by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions, he leads discussions on global humanitarian concerns, offering achievable solutions. Recognized as the region's sole humanitarian voice, DIHAD addresses pressing financial, political, social, and environmental issues.
In a visionary move, Amb. Dr. AlMadani established the DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Organization, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to sustainable improvement in crisis-affected regions. Managing diverse charitable and relief activities, including the DIHAD Conference and Exhibition, the DIHAD Sustainable Humanitarian Organization has various programs established and spearheaded by Amb. Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani, including the DIHAD Humanitarian College, FOREVERCARE, DIHAD GlassHouse, DIHAD Hackaton, Humanity Without Borders - Tajikistan and Jordan, and Ride for DIHAD, these initiatives underscore his unwavering commitment to humanitarian causes.
He is at the helm of multiple leading corporate entities in the United Arab Emirates as the Chairman of INDEX Holding, an Emirati national company established in 1928, which specializes in various sectors, including healthcare, sustainable projects, events management, business management, investment and trading, textile trading and tailoring, media, interior design and much more. He founded world-renowned events such as AEEDC Dubai, Dubai Derma, DUPHAT, and many more specialized events within the GCC and around the world. Besides the above, he is the Executive Chairman of the Global Scientific Dental Alliance (GSDA) and Global Family Medicine Scientific Alliance (GFMSA). H.E. Amb. Dr. Abdulsalam AlMadani is also the author of the book Life in 20 Pages, which strikingly captures his extensive years of leadership, experience, and success. The book simplifies life, enhances understanding, encourages positive thinking, and fosters a high spirit in facing challenges.
H.E. Amb. Dr. AlMadani received his Ph.D. in Humanities at L.U.de.S – University of Lugano – Switzerland, an Honorary Degree in Humanities at UCM United Campus of Malta, a Doctor of Philosophy in Health Care Management, and a Master in Hospital Management at Birmingham University.
In addition to his professional achievements, he is known for his commitment to sustainability goals and corporate social responsibility. He has received numerous awards and accolades for his philanthropic contributions, including the Dubai Appreciation Award for Community Service in the corporate category by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for the efforts made in the field of charitable and humanitarian work, as well as a Certificate of Appreciation by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and the IMF Board of Governors in 2003, for organizing the first and an exemplary ‘Regional Exhibition’, which was held in conjunction with the Annual Meetings, Board of Governors, World Bank Group, International Monetary Fund, and the Community Service Medal by H.H. Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior for unique contribution and great effort in supporting the local initiative which strengthens the position of the United Arab Emirates on an International level and for the contribution to the success of AQDAR World Summit Moscow 2019.
Notable achievements include the PAM Personality Award in Monaco for developing and reinforcing the humanitarian and development sectors during the past ten years and the outstanding contribution to the humanitarian field through the yearly event DIHAD. He has also received a Certificate of Appreciation from the State of New York - office of the Governor for his outstanding contribution to the dental community.
